Galaxy unveils decadent new Vegan Fruit and Nut bar for Veganuary

Galaxy Unveils Vegan Fruit and Nut Bar for Veganuary

In perfect timing for Veganuary, Galaxy has launched a vegan version of its well-loved Fruit and Nut bar. For dairy-free enthusiasts, this cruelty-free treat is hitting the shelves, boasting a milky texture derived from hazelnut paste, not cow's milk. Packed with succulent raisins and roasted hazelnuts, it delivers a delightful and creamy vegan chocolate experience.

Dairy-Free Delight with Galaxy Vegan Fruit and Nut

Galaxy's vegan offering is not new, as the brand has a variety of vegan chocolate bars free from cow's milk. In early 2019, they introduced three certified vegan options: smooth orange, caramel and sea salt, and caramelized hazelnut. To align with vegan values, these treats come in compostable film packaging made from wood fiber, a noteworthy eco-friendly move for Mars in the UK product range.

Vegan Chocolate Evolution

The momentum continues as Galaxy expands its vegan range. In September 2020, two new flavors joined the lineup: Galaxy Vegan Smooth Mint and Galaxy Vegan Crumbled Cookie. Both priced at £3, these additions also featured compostable film packaging made from wood fiber. Michelle Frost, GM at Mars Chocolate Drinks & Treats, expressed delight in extending the range to provide more choices for consumers, with eye-catching packaging to attract new customers.

Galaxy's Commitment to Vegan Options

Galaxy's commitment to the vegan market is evident in their ongoing product releases. Beyond the Fruit and Nut bar, the brand has introduced vegan hot chocolate, white chocolate, and a salted caramel bar. This extensive range caters to the growing demand for dairy-free treats, providing diverse options for those embracing a vegan lifestyle.

Exciting Debut in Morrisons

The eagerly awaited Galaxy Vegan Fruit and Nut bar will hit Morrisons' shelves from January 22. Available in both 100g and 40g sizes, it's a convenient and delicious snack for on-the-go, perfect for stashing in your bag or desk drawer. The vegan buzz is spreading across the UK, and Galaxy's entry into this market, as one of the country's well-known brands, signals significant growth potential for vegan treats. Despite the current £10 million value of vegan treats in a £4 billion chocolate market, Galaxy is optimistic about contributing to the expansion of this rapidly evolving category.
